Coronavirus Pandemic -- what we are doing (03/16/2020)
To Our Patients and Their Families,
It is our first priority to make sure that our patients and their families remain safe during this uncertain time of the Coronavirus Pandemic. To that end, we would like to let you know what additional practices we have put into effect in the office at this time:
Any patients with fever and cough are to be screened by phone or in their cars in our parking lot before entering the office. If we feel they need to come into the office, we will provide a mask for them to wear and place them immediately in a room (bypassing the waiting room).
We have designated one exam room as the “respiratory room”. Only patients with respiratory symptoms will be placed in this room. Otherwise healthy patients, newborns and well child checkups will be placed in the other two exam rooms. We will also do our best to not schedule sick children and well children at the same time.
We are encouraging all patients to come with only one parent and no additional siblings when possible so that we minimize the number of people entering the office who may be carriers of the virus. If siblings do come, they must stay in the exam room rather than in the hallway or waiting room.
All exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned daily and sanitized again after every patient.
We have removed all toys, magazines and samples from the waiting room. In addition we have increased our cleaning of the waiting room from once to three times a day.
Our check in counter is being sanitized after every patient.
The providers are wearing masks when necessary and cleaning their stethoscopes and other office equipment on a regular basis.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. If you do feel the need to cancel your upcoming appointment, we respectfully request that you give us 24 hours notice.
