Updated office procedures (05/11/2020)
To Our Patients and Their Families,
As California moves into Phase 2 of Shelter-in-Place, we are expecting a second wave of COVID-19 cases. We continue to be vigilant with our efforts to minimize exposure and spread for public health sake. To that end, we’d like to update you on the latest office procedures:
Non-contact temperature check performed on every person before entering the office. Please call or knock on the door to be checked before entering.
Only one care provider per patient and no additional siblings for now to minimize the number of people entering the office who may be carriers of the virus.
A non-medical grade mask or face covering must be worn by any person older than 2 years of age while in the office.
Patients are escorted in and out of the room directly without stopping in the waiting room.
We have dedicated one room for sick patients. Routine checkups are placed in the other two exam rooms in mornings only, and high risk patients (if any) are scheduled for afternoons.
All exam rooms are thoroughly sanitized after every patient.
We have removed all toys, magazines and samples from the waiting room.
Medical providers are wearing masks and cleaning their stethoscopes and other office equipment on a regular basis.
Any patients with fever and cough are to be screened by phone or in their cars in our parking lot before entering the office.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. If you do feel the need to cancel your upcoming check-up appointment, we respectfully request that you give us 24 hours notice.

RN Advice / Triage Line (04/02/2020)
Patients with COVID-19-like symptoms can call 866-961-2889 (Sutter Health) or 650-736-5211 (Stanford) to speak to a registered nurse who can direct them to the appropriate level of care.
Televisits now available (03/23/2020)
Televisits and phone screening are recommended for respiratory conditions prior to in-person evaluation to reduce possible spreading and exposure to others. Televisits may be appropriate for other conditions and symptoms for the time being; please call the office directly to inquire.
